Patti LaBelle has given us a new reason to scream, “Oh, Patti!” As of today, you can now pick up Patti LaBelle Banana Pudding, sold exclusively at Walmart for $10. According to a press release sent by the company, “The new pudding is prepared with high quality ingredients for an authentic, home-style taste . . . It features rich banana pudding and a creamy banana pudding mousse studded with 12 vanilla wafers and a vanilla wafer crumble.” While we adore Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding, we’re going to have to put Patti’s to the test.
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has very strong opinions about his ice cream. The outspoken representative of President Trump has tweeted at Dippin’ Dots in a series of tweets from 2010 to 2015.
Dippin dots is NOT the ice cream of the future
– Sean Spicer (@seanspicer) April 8, 2010
I think I have said this before but Dippin Dots are notthe ice cream of the future
– Sean Spicer (@seanspicer) September 22, 2011
If Dippin Dots was truly the ice cream of the future they would not have run out of vanilla cc @Nationals
– Sean Spicer (@seanspicer) September 7, 2015
Spicer dislikes the company so much, he even tweeted out an article in 2011 pointing out the brand’s financial troubles.
Ice Cream of the Past: Dippin’ Dots Files for Bankruptcy http://t.co/xPifdujD
– Sean Spicer (@seanspicer) November 4, 2011
After Spicer’s tweets started to go viral, Dippin’ Dots CEO Scott Fischer replied with a public letter on his website.
It seems that the frozen treat brand is trying to patch things up and even offered Spicer and the Trump administration an ice cream social. We hope the two men can work this out, because the world is better with more ice cream in it.

Dole Pineapple Whip is one of the most beloved snacks available at the Disney parks, as any Disney devotee will gladly tell you. Creamy, tropical, and refreshing, the frozen treat inspires such nostalgia that it has spawned entire blog posts – people love Dole Whip, and they’re not messing around. While many believe the snack to be a Disney exclusive, there are places to find the whip outside of the park . . . so if you’re pining (get it?!) for frozen pineapple whip but don’t have a Disney vacation on the books, we’ve got your back.
While they’re not all endorsed by Dole itself, you can find pineapple whip at a variety of locations. Bay Area Disney fans swear by a place called Pineapples, which will top the tasty treat with everything from li hing powder to mochi. Los Angeles residents line up for Whipp’d, which serves the exact same Dole Whip that’s available at Disneyland. If you’re in Hawaii, you can head to the Dole Plantation and taste Dole Whip right from the source! And people all across the country have reported pineapple whip sightings from Oregon to Indiana . . . so have no fear. While Dole Whip always tastes better at Disney because of the magical environment, you can still satisfy your cravings outside of the park.

If you’ve ever had Benihana’s chicken fried rice, you’ve truly tasted the nectar of the gods. The flavor is incomparable, and it’s so addictive that if you don’t stop yourself, you’d easily eat an entire flat-top-filled serving (no shame). After making Benihana’s fried rice recipe for ourselves, we finally learned the secret ingredient that makes all the difference – and no, it doesn’t have anything to do with an onion volcano, although those are impressive too. The secret is garlic butter, and plenty of it.
Instead of sauteing garlic in oil before adding the vegetables and chicken, Benihana adds full-on scoops of butter infused with garlic, and that fatty flavor seeps into every nook and cranny of the rice. The cooks add two tablespoons of garlic butter to the diced chicken breast as it’s cooking, and they later add more spoonfuls of garlic butter to the rice as they’re mixing everything together toward the end. The garlic butter has a darkened color, so it appears the cooks might even take it a step further by caramelizing the garlic before blending it with butter. Now that you know the trick to making Benihana’s fried rice, you can serve your own version at home – no tricks or flips required. Start with a garlic butter recipe, and then make the best copycat Benihana’s fried rice you’ll ever have.
